Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to safeguard the platform and its users against legal infractions, fraud, and abuse, ensuring a secure and trustworthy environment.

Scope

galaxefi is committed to providing a safe and legally compliant environment for all citizens (users), including service providers, partners, traders, and vendors. This Legal Protection Policy outlines the measures we take to protect against fraud, abuse, and legal violations, in alignment with the relevant sections of the PPC – Pakistan Penal Code.

Fraud and Abuse Policy

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and preventing fraudulent and abusive activities on our platform. This includes:

  • Definition of Fraud and Abuse: Any intentional deception, manipulation, or exploitation of the platform for unauthorized gain or advantage.
  • Monitoring and Detection: Continuous monitoring of platform activities to detect and prevent fraudulent and abusive actions.
  • Reporting Mechanisms: Providing users with accessible channels to report suspected fraud and abuse.
  • Investigation and Enforcement: Conducting thorough investigations of reported incidents and taking appropriate action, including legal proceedings, account suspension, or termination.

Compliance with PPC 420 and PPC 489-F

PPC 420: Cheating and Dishonestly Inducing Delivery of Property

Any deceitful act intended to induce the delivery of property or alteration of valuable security will be prosecuted.

PPC 489-F: Dishonestly Issuing a Cheque

Any instance of dishonestly issuing a cheque that gets dishonored will be prosecuted under this section.

Intellectual Property

  • Respect for IP Rights: Ensuring that all content and activities on the platform respect the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Reporting IP Violations: Providing mechanisms for reporting and addressing intellectual property infringements.

Legal Compliance

  • Adherence to Laws: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Legal Counsel: Engaging the platform’s legal experts to guide, advise, and initiate legal proceedings on compliance matters.

Enforcement

  • Penalties for Violations: Imposing penalties, including account suspension, termination, and legal action, for violations of this policy.
  • Legal Action: Legal proceedings as per PPC 420 and/or PPC 489-F
  • Appeal Process: Providing users with the opportunity to appeal against enforcement actions.

Policy Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure continued compliance with Pakistani laws and the operational needs of galaxefi.
